'Our hearts are broken' :Biden attends church service for Uvalde victims

The President of the United States, Joe Biden has attended a church service held for the victims of the Robb Elementary School shooting in Uvalde, Texas. 

During the service, held on Sunday 29th of May, San Antonio Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller told the congregation: "Our hearts are broken."

On Tuesday 24th of May, 19 school children, and two teachers, by gunman Salvador Ramos.

The mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, focused on the children of the 600 parish members in attendance. 

In both English and Spanish, Rt Rev García-Siller told the Uvalde children they would help their community heal.

Before attending mass, Biden and his wife Jill met with the families of the victims in another service held at the school.

While leaving a mass service, a spectator called out to the president to "Do something!"

In reply Biden said: "We will."

The US Justice Department will now review the law enforcement response to the shooting in Uvalde, Texas, in America's worst school shooting in nearly a decade.

Biden sent his prayers to the families and friends of the victims and has called for an end to gun lobbying in America.
