A Methodist Charity's hailing its work with troubled families, saying it's cutting truancy and crime. Action for Children has found giving one-to-one "Intensive Family Support" cuts offending rates by 70%, and improves school attendance in two-thirds of children. It says hands-on support helps families address a range of issues by getting practical and emotional backing.
