Medieval cross stolen in Cambridgeshire

It's thought the piece was taken from the site at Sutton Crossways near Ailsworth some time between 20 and 22 July.

The 180 year old cross has been targeted before according to a local vicar.

Revd William Burke told the BBC: "We've had stone stolen from churchyards before. It's often taken to car boot sales and antique dealers".

Cambridgeshire Police is appealing for witnesses.
