Andrew Park from Park Terrace in Aberuthven was jailed on Tuesday over the incident which saw the pulpit tipped over and carpets ripped up at Blackford Parish Church in Perth and Kinross.
A rededication service was held on Sunday to celebrate the village church reopening four months on from the incident which left Minister Rev Mairi Perkins in tears.
Mrs Perkins said: "It was so exciting to re-open the church after being out of the building for four months as well as a little frightening, not knowing who or how many people would turn up.
"But we did not need to worry because 140 people streamed in. I was proud to see our loyal congregation taking their seats once again."
The court heard how Park forced a seven year old child to crawl into the building through an underground tunnel to open a trapdoor to allow him access to the building.
Bibles were thrown about in the break-in in February and a number of items including valuable handbells were reported missing.
Mrs Perkins went on to say: "The church looked beautiful with only the organ and font still to complete their repair programme. But we are all broken at some time in our lives and the beauty is that God loves us all just as we are."
Mrs Perkins said hand bells which were been stolen in the break-in and later returned were dedicated and the hand bell ringers played two tunes.
She added: "The service involved many people in the congregation leading various parts and the children had a ball with their musical instruments praising God in their own special way.
"It was an emotional service, a service full of love happiness and hope."
