A man is appearing in court on Monday after being charged with four counts of murder and four counts of administering a poison.
All of the deceased were in their twenties and found near the premises of St Margaret's Church and Abbey Ruins in Barking, East London.
40-year-old Stephen John Port, of Cooke Street in Barking, has been charged in relation to the deaths Anthony Patrick Walgate, 23; Gabriel Kovari, 22; Daniel Whitworth, 21, and; Jack Taylor, 25.
Their deaths occurred between June 2014 and September this year, according to Scotland Yard.
Mr Port has also been charged with four counts of administering a poison with intent to endanger life or inflict grievous bodily harm.
