Liverpool Cathedral lights up as rainbow to show hope

by Cara Bentley

Liverpool Cathedral was lit up in various different colours to symbolise hope and solidarity to a city that would normally be hosting an arts festival this past weekend.

The Cathedral normally takes part in the city's annual LightNight - which celebrates the city's culture scene by putting on dances, music and art galleries.

This year the theme to take part was 'home' and performances were streamed online using the hastag #LightNightatHome.

The Cathedral decided to light up the building in multi-colours and the choir sung a Processional Evensong over the internet.

Images were projected on significant buildings across the city -  designed by two Liverpool creative tech companies Adlib and Draw and Code.
