Baroness Sal Brinton, who is a Christian, said the party will continue to address religious freedom.
She told Premier's News Hour: "We continue to campaign to reduce intolerance, including anti-Semitism and hate-crime based on faith."
Brinton also said people should be free to wear a cross and nuns should be permitted to wear veils.
She said: "We want to guarantee the freedom of people to wear both religious and cultural dress."
Speaking on what specific policies in the manifesto a Christian would be interested in, Brinton highlighted the party's immigration policies.
She said: "We've always been a party that has looked beyond just Britain's shores. We still have an absolute commitment to refuges and asylum seekers.
"We've been pressing for ages but I'm glad it's in the manifesto, we want to re-open what's known as the 'Dubs group' to take 3,000 unaccompanied children that are very much at risk.
The Lib Dems launched their General Election manifesto today which also included a promise to help people buy the homes they rent.
If elected, they would introduce a 'rent to own' scheme to help first time buyers purchase a house over 30 years.
