Katherine Jenkins opens up about life she 'never imagined'

by Eno Adeogun

The mezzo-soprano opera singer said in an interview with Hello! magazine that she expected to marry someone that lived near to her in her local church.

She said: "Life is not always what you expect it to be and when you find somebody that you fall in love with, it's amazing what you're willing to change.

"If I'm talking to a girlfriend who's just met someone and they're not exactly how she'd thought, I remind her, 'I thought I'd get married in my local church to somebody from home."

The 37-year-old has a two-year-old daughter with her husband, filmmaker Andrew Levitas.

While she did get married in her hometown parish church of St David's Church in Neath, where she first learnt to sing, marrying a New Yorker was unexpected.

She said: "But I've married this guy from New York and we live in a way I never imagined.

The classical star also revealed she was surprised to"feel so chilled and relaxed about life" and said she would love to have another baby.

She added: "My husband and I love being parents and Aaliyah makes us so happy. She's fun, kind and affectionate - and a mummy's girl."
