A British court has dismissed all charges against Christian preacher Karandeep Mamman after prosecutors withdrew their case, citing insufficient evidence.

The incident occurred on 14th January 2023, in Walsall town centre, where Mamman, 33, was preaching when he was surrounded by an "Islamic mob" of 20 to 30 people, as reported by The Christian Post.

He faced threats, including death, after criticising the Quran’s depiction of Jesus Christ.

Attempts to leave were blocked, and CCTV later showed two individuals tearing up a sign he held with Christian messages.

Despite being the target of threats, Mamman was charged with religiously aggravated harassment.

His defense argued the case violated his rights to free speech and religious expression.

An expert witness supported his statements with references to the Quran.

After the judge dismissed the case, Mamman expressed relief, reaffirming his commitment to preaching the Gospel.

“My aim always when preaching is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that all of us can only be saved if we follow His teaching" he said.

He also criticised authorities for failing to protect his rights, warning that his prosecution emboldened efforts to silence religious beliefs through intimidation.
