The Christian rap artist Guvna B used his award acceptance speech at the Pre-MOBO Awards ceremony in central London to acknowledge God.
The 26-year-old scooped Best Gospel Act - after winning the same prize six years ago - at Cadogan Hall in Sloane Square on Thursday night.
Appearing on stage, the Secret World artist said: "God has been there for me; I've felt his presence every single step of the way. I love God."
Guvna B went on to say: "If you go a couple of years without substantial success, people start to kind of forget about you and not really care. It made me realise that the industry we're in is very fickle, right?
"The most important thing I learned is to look at the people who've been there in your greatest moments and your not-so-great moments."
This year's main awards ceremony will take place on November 4 in Glasgow and broadcast on ITV 2.
