Mourners attending a prayer vigil to remember victims of a shooting at a Kentucky high school on Tuesday have been told God is still with them.
A 15-year-old student opened fire with a handgun inside Marshall County High School killing two of his classmates, injuring 17 and sending hundreds fleeing for safety.
A pastor at Bethel Baptist Church on Tuesday evening told students, their families, and other residents in the community that "we know that God has not forsaken us".
He added: "And don't go to thinking this 'what did someone do to deserve this'?
"In life evil makes no sense - it is unpredictable and yet it is predicable."
A girl died at the scene, and a boy died later at a hospital.
The shooter has not been identified by the police and a motive has not been disclosed.
Governor Matt Bevin said he will be charged with murder and attempted murder.
