Franklin Graham urges people to pray for US President as he suffers with Covid

by Alex Collett

US evangelist Franklin Graham has called on his followers to pray for Joe Biden, as the president battles Covid.

The White House announced that Biden had tested positive for the virus on Thursday, 21st of July and was experiencing 'very mild symptoms.'

He has continued with his duties whilst isolating at the White House.

Mr Graham took to his Facebook page to express his sympathies and wrote: "We need to lift him up in prayer.

"The Bible instructs us to pray for all those in authority, and that includes whether we agree with their policies and politics or not."

Biden is fully vaccinated and twice boosted, which means he has received four shots of a Covid-19 vaccine.

He is taking Paxlovid, a new antiviral medication that can help Covid patients recover earlier. Doctors say it's similar to Tamiflu.
