US evangelist Franklin Graham has taken to social media to urge prayers for President Joe Biden as he tested positive for Covid.
“We need to lift him up in prayer,” Graham said.
“The Bible instructs us to pray for all those in authority, and that includes whether we agree with their policies and politics or not.”
Graham, who just finished an evangelistic tour in the UK, is a vocal critic of Biden’s administration and was a very public supporter of former US President Donald Trump.
According to the latest White House statement, Biden’s symptoms are mild and have improved since his diagnosis on Thursday.
He is experiencing a runny nose, fatigue and an occasional dry cough.
The 79-year-old is fully vaccinated and has had two boosters - he is currently continuing with his duties in isolation.
