Franklin Graham to do evangelistic tour along Route 66

by Cara Bentley

Christian preacher Franklin Graham will be travelling across America on the famous Route 66 highway to hold eight evangelistic events.

From 19th September - 2nd October, the son of evangelist Billy Graham will be on the 'God Loves You Tour' in Joliet in Illinois, St. Louis and Springfield, Oklahoma City, Amarillo, Albuquerque, Flagstaff and San Bernardino in California.

The events will be free and have live music including Newsboys, Marcos Witt and Dennis Agajanian.

The website states he will be "offering the hope of Jesus Christ during a time when many are struggling with the death of loved ones, loss of employment, or fear of what lies ahead" and he will invite people who are not Christian to accept the gospel.

Franklin's father Billy Graham held famous evangelistic gatherings in venues around the world in the 20th century, where many people came to faith through his clear preaching of God's grace.

Franklin Graham's visits to the UK have been cancelled in the past, with one venue after another cancelling his bookings for 2020, just before the pandemic hit.
