The first Church of England female bishop to be appointed to the House of Lords will give her maiden speech on Monday.
Bishop of Gloucester Rt Revd Rachel Treweek will make history when she gets on her feet during a debate about gender equality.
She makes her maiden speech the day before International Women's Day and will talk about women's empowerment and representation in the UK.
Bishop Rachel said: "As a follower of Jesus Christ I am committed to the flourishing of all and enabling people to fulfil their God-given potential, so it's wonderful to be giving my maiden speech on an issue as important as gender equality."
She entered the House of Lords in October and her role, along with the other 26 Lords Spiritual, is to take up the Church of England's responsibility to contribute a Christian voice to our legislative process.
Bishop Rachel was fast-tracked into the upper chamber because of new rules aimed at balancing the number of men and women representing the church in the House quickly.
Speaking to Premier at the time of her appointment she said: "I hope that I will be able to use my voice, my eyes, my ears to be able to contribute to the structure of governance in our country and to speak as a follower of Christ into that."
