But the poll carried out for Premier Christian Radio has also found nearly half don't want an orchestrated PR campaign to achieve it.
The figures also suggest that nearly 40% of priests want money spent on a new ad campaign and most of those asked said the Church is unfairly represented in the media
However, the former Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, tells Premier the media can't always be trusted to reflect the truth:
