Christians are being urged to pray for a convert who has been sentenced to death by an appeals court in a city in western Libya.
The man, whose identity remains anonymous, accepted Jesus roughly four years ago, according to religious freedom group Middle East Concern.
He has been arrested and detained by militias several times during the past few years.
The group claims militias have tried to force him to renounce his faith, but he has refused.
Christians in Libya have requested prayer. A spokesperson for Middle East Concern said: "[Pray] for this brave and bold brother to know the peace of Jesus and the comfort of the Holy Spirit during his ordeal
"That the death sentence would be halted and a fair trial held
"For this brother to be released immediately and for his safety and well-being in the future
"For peace, stability and tolerance in this war torn country."
It's reported the man does not have legal representation during the proceedings.
