A group of Christians have gone viral after a video showed them “taking-over” a flight mid-air to sing worship songs.

Posted by Jack Jensz Jr., who runs a Christian organisation in the US city of Philadelphia, the video has more than 200,000 views and has provoked mixed reactions among social media users.

The video shows a man playing How Great Is Our God by Chris Tomlin together with other passengers spread across the plane.

For Susan Osteman, a Facebook user who commented on the post, their worship session was “not acceptable”.

“Yeah. If you look at the passengers’s faces, they were NOT impressed. FYI: Jesus never forced anyone to listen or believe.

“Yet, here you are, a less than mediocre singer, who knows maybe three or four chords, garage band preacher, trying to be cutesy- pootsy!

“These passengers are held captive in a tube, hurtling at over 500mph, 30,000 feet in the air, with a ticket that they paid for, with THEIR hard earned money, having to listen to your ego, gone wild.”

“This is definitely NOT the way. Shame on you.”

Jensz Jr. responded to Osteman’s criticising saying that they had done so “with permission” and explained many people “were touched”  by the songs they played.

“We were just with the Ukrainian refugees helping them in this tough time. They were thankful for our humanitarian aid but they were extremely touched when we prayed with them. God loves these beautiful people so so much!

“I pray that you would experience the Love of God! He loves you so much Susan!,” he continued.
