Christians arrested in India

They were charged after distributing religious leaflets in the south west state of Karnataka.

It's thought the women were talking about Christianity with Hindus.

Charity Barnabus Fund reports the President of the Global Council of Indian Christians, Sajan George, said the arrests were 'a matter of serious concern'.

"Because not only did they target innocent faithful, but are likely to tear the fabric of society.

"The Hindu nationalist forces want to spread a feeling of suspicion towards Christians," he added.
