Wilson Chowdhry (pictured above right), who was the director of British Pakistani Christian Association, terminated his role on 26 June 2019, according to the UK government's Companies House website.
He also submitted a notice of ceasing to be a person with significant control in the charity.
In a statement to Premier, the Charity Commission said it is aware of concerns relating to British Pakistani Christian Ltd (it's legal name).
The UK charity regulator has contacted British Pakistani Christians Ltd for further information, and noted it is not conducting a "formal statutory inquiry".
Chowdhry, 44, told the Ilford Recorder he resigned for "personal reasons".
Companies House now lists Juliet Chowdhry, Vanessa Ramchurn and Dorah Mayah as the directors of British Pakistani Christians Ltd.
The charity raises awareness of the persecution and discrimination Pakistani Christians face. It also provides support and aid for those suffering.
Chowdhry was a regular commentator on Premier news stories and has been widely outspoken about the blasphemy case against Asia Bibi in Pakistan.
Premier has contacted Chowdhry for comment.
