Nicola Burgher-Kennedy was speaking after new research showed nearly half the British population tune into the nation's top ten food TV shows every week, but seldom cook a meal themselves.
"Whether it's through churches I pray that God will really speak to the leaders so that these aspects, and diet, can be discussed in a forum in the church, and people can be educated to make that change in their life," she told Premier.
Four out of ten are put off cooking by TV shows, saying it looks too complicated to try at home, while around a third claim to be too busy.
2,000 people were asked about their food habits by Lurpak and the study found the UK nation spends more than five hours a week consuming 'food media,' but only four hours cooking.
23 per cent of those asked have never cooked an evening meal from scratch.

Nicola Burgher-Kennedy went on: "The fast-paced lifestyle that we have now, time is one big, huge issue, that really I guess discourages people from making that step to cook their meal at home.
"Fear is there as well that the meal may not come out exactly as the programmes depict."
