The co-presenter of Songs of Praise (pictured below) was handed a Police Information Notice (PIN) in 2014 for allegedly harassing the partner of her daughter's estranged husband; however, her accused has now been convicted of perverting the course of justice.
Speaking to BBC Two's Victoria Derbyshire programme, she said: "I'm still reeling from it now. My integrity has been questioned and my sense of trust has flown out the window."
A spokesman for Cambridge Crown Court was quoted by the corporation as saying Kayla Thomas, who received a suspended 18-month prison sentence and three-month curfew on Thursday, had given a false witness statement.
Speaking about how her career and charity work has suffered because of the false claim, Jordan said: "Some of the charities I was working with I haven't heard from again."
The broadcaster also questioned the use of PIN, adding: ""If somebody takes a dislike to you, they can make an allegation and you can be slapped with one of these notices."
In March 2015, a group of MPs on the Home Affairs Select Committee warned PIN - which don't include a right to appeal - "can feel very unfair to recipients".
