Popular Christian broadcaster Joni Lamb has died at the age of 65.

Lamb was the founder and president of the Daystar Television Network alongside her husband, Marcus Lamb, who died from COVID-19 complications in 2021.

“We know that she is in the presence of Jesus, reunited with Marcus, and receiving her reward for a beautiful life lived in surrender to the Lord,” Daystar said in a statement.

“She has modeled what it means to be fearless, to be bold, and to stand for righteousness even when it’s unpopular. Her love and compassion for people were unparalleled. She will be so greatly missed.”

Daystar said Lamb had been dealing with “serious” health issues that were worsened by a previous back injury, adding that her condition deteriorated despite “the dedicated efforts of her medical team and the prayers of so many around the world”.

The network said Lamb spent 40 years “building a ministry that brought the Gospel into millions of homes” and that Daystar would continue “uninterrupted”, with tributes planned in the coming days.
