Christian contemporary music group LZ7, have announced they are to join pop artist Jason Derulo on his upcoming, The Last Dance tour this month.
The band had previously toured with Derulo for his 2Sides World Tour a few years ago, before revealing they’d been offered the chance to join him again for his upcoming UK and Europe tour as his support act.
The band is set to have a 30-minute slot at the opening of Derulo’s show where they will be sharing their latest single ‘Eternity’, which the band had last shared at Big Church Festival.
On a social media post to announce the news, lead singer Lindz West addressed his fans stating, “get onto ticketmaster!...It’s gonna be killer!”. Encouraging fans to buy tickets to see the band perform, West promised a “party”, and encouraged fans to show up and have a good time, promising that if anyone started a mosh pit, he would “call them out by name”.
The singer then explained it provided an opportunity for the band to share their faith to “25,000 people at a time”, who might not otherwise get a chance to hear it.
Speaking about his band’s message of hope and faith, the singer stated, “I’m gonna share about faith…you know what we stand for”, before adding, “we’ve got a beautiful message and that message is that everyone has a hope… a future and something to live for”.
West also revealed that there would additionally be an opportunity for those interested to find out more about faith and get connected with an Alpha group, appealing in a separate address to church friends to pray for the opportunity provided.
The tour will kick off this week in Glasgow and will move around the UK stopping at cities such as Birmingham, London and Cardiff, before moving across Europe.
“Hopefully you guys can enjoy it as much as we can”, the singer concluded, “taking this amazing news out there, and putting a lamp on a stand”.
