Catholic saint dolls go on sale

by Hannah Tooley

'Dolls from Heaven' has made a selection of special religious dolls that come with a book and rosary and aim to inspire children to act like saints themselves.

One of the dolls, Saint Therese of Lisieux, has been designed to encourage young children to make Jesus the focus of their lives.

She even has outfit changes including 'Therese's Sunday best', which the website says was "inspired by her childhood and her love for going to church."

'Dolls from Heaven' plans to introduce a series of saint dolls, including Saint John Paul II, Saint Bernadette, Saint Patrick and Saint Joan of Arc.

The family behind the idea, the Kiczeks, describe themselves as "a Catholic, pro-life family, who are trying to work for the kingdom of God by bringing others closer to Jesus."

Talking about the dolls, they said: "As a family, we created Dolls from Heaven. Dolls have always been part of our family. We all enjoyed dressing them and playing with them."
