CalledOut Music has been crowned 'Best Gospel Act' by the 2020 MOBO Awards.
With two albums and multiple singles to his credit, the Basingstoke native has earned an AGMMA award, over 10 million Spotify streams and most recently a UK Entertainment award.
This year's MOBO gospel category was a tight race with The Kingdom Choir, Guvna B, Noel Robinson and Shekinah all vying for the title of Best Gospel Act.
Reacting to his win, CalledOut Music, whose name is Samuel Nwachukwu, said: “Honestly winning a MOBO is like a dream come true. I remember being a teenager and watching the MOBO’s on TV every year thinking that it would be so cool to be recognised, and now being the recipient of a MOBO myself is just mind blowing. I’m really excited. It’s a testament of God’s grace and just all the hard work that has gone on with HFP consistently creating content. I am so humbled by the support. “
HFP Label Founder, Chibuzo Okuro echoed CalledOut’s sentiments adding: “We want to say a big thank you to Premier Gospel and the MOBO’s. Huge congrats to all the nominees … all very worthy winners. This is a big win for HFP, it’s a huge win for CalledOut Music but it's an even greater win for UK Gospel.”
