Worship leader Brandon Lake delivered an emotional and inspiring acceptance speech after being named 'Artist of the Year' at the 2024 K-LOVE Fan Awards, held at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.

The 34-year-old also took home 'Male Artist of the Year' for the third consecutive time, along with 'Song of the Year' for Hard Fought Hallelujah, his collaboration with Grammy-nominated artist Jelly Roll.

In his speech, Lake urged the audience to embrace their calling as everyday ministers of faith.

“Revival might come about in the less obvious ways,” he said. “And I just want to say it doesn't take a platform and a microphone to be a revivalist. You’ve got somebody in a house next to you who may need Jesus. You might be the closest thing to Jesus they're ever going to experience. So walk across the street and be the hands and feet of Jesus — whatever God's called you to do.”

Jelly Roll, who was unable to attend the ceremony in person, celebrated the Song of the Year win in a video message.

“Brandon, I love you, brother,” he said. “I had to interrupt this moment because, one, we're here at the beautiful Grand Ole Opry, and I'm so sad I'm not there. But two, I just found out we won a K-LOVE award. Man, what a beautiful story — from a jail cell to a K-LOVE award. That is something only God can do.”

Jelly Roll has previously spoken candidly about his journey of faith, reflecting on years spent in and out of prison as a teenager and how his life has been transformed.

He closed his message with a note of gratitude: “I don't take this lightly at all. Y’all, I wish I was there. I'm on the road, serving in other ways, but I hope to never miss another one. Love y’all very much.”

The K-LOVE Fan Awards celebrate excellence in Christian music, film, sports, and media, as voted on by fans across the country.
