Bishop of Salisbury compares gay marriage opponents to Christians who used Bible to support slavery

The Bishop of Salisbury is encouraging Christians to end their opposition to gay marriage just as they dropped their support of slavery in the times of William Wilberforce.

In a letter to the Telegraph, Rt Revd Nicholas Holtam, argues that attitudes towards homosexuality have changed "considerably" over the last 50 years.

But, Canon Chris Sugden from Anglican Mainstream has told Premier's News Hour why he thinks the Bishop is wrong:
