Billy Graham grandson, evangelical minister Jonathan Lotz hospitalized

by Premier Journalist

Jonathan Lotz, a notable minister in North Carolina and the grandson of evangelist Billy Graham, has been hospitalized from COVID-19.

In a post on Saturday, Jonathan's mother, Anne Graham Lotz, posted that her son is currently in the intensive care unit at an unidentified hospital. She implores her followers to pray for Jonathan's recovery.

"Fifty years ago, I could hold my son in my arms," Anne wrote. "Now, I have placed him in the arms of Jesus." The post has received massive attention online, with 54,000 reactions and 21,000 shares on Facebook.

The Instagram post received more than 22,000 interactions. A later post revealed that Jonathan was 'physically exhausted yet spiritually overflowing." Anne Graham Lotz asked her followers to "Pray he will not have to go on a ventilator, that his oxygen levels would increase, that his lungs will be strengthened, healed and that his health will be fully restored — with no long-term complications. My heart is filled with gratitude for your prayers."

Jonathan is one of three adult children that Anne Graham Lotz and Danny Lotz (deceased). Jonathan currently serves as an ordained minister in North Carolina.

He runs Jonathan Lotz Ministries presently, "an evangelistic ministry committed to preaching the Word of God and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a world in need of hope." The ministry often allows him to travel the country and speak at various locations about the Gospel.

Jonathan has also served at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Park Cities Presbyterian Church. He also worked with Billy Graham doing work preparing for the large-scale crusades.
