Asylum seekers waiting up to 16 years for decison, says report

The latest review of the asylum system apparently shows it's overburdened and under severe pressure. That's according to the Home Affairs Select Committee, which says the number of applicants still waiting for an initial decision after six months rose 63 percent last year.

Liam Allmark from the Catholic Church's Social Action Network has told Premier the situation remains dire for many.
