Life Church Bedworth is planning street parties, making drinks for outpatients at hospital, giving roses to single mothers and other gestures to bless locals.
It's congregation is using the #lifechurch40 hashtag to post its acts of kindness on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, before they go on the church website.
Jet Jones, the senior pastor of Life Church Bedworth, told Premier: "We really feel that our vision, our calling from God, is to be a healthy church, that impacts and blesses a healthy community.
"And I think it's really important, like the Bible tells us, to be salt and light in our community, and that's what we feel we're going to do, just on a very practical and a very real way, be salt and light and support our local community."
"To celebrate the 40th [anniversary] is not necessarily just to look back on the past, but actually to look forward into the future and say 'thank you God for all that you've done for our church'."
